| Midwifery Care |
1. Follows the basics of midwifery, midwifery ethics and philosophy when performing midwifery care.
2. Performs midwifery care in family planning, during pregnancy, during delivery, after the delivery and when observing the development of a newborn and a child.
3. Implements theoretical knowledge following the requirements of EU directives on practical activities of a midwife. |

| Basic Studies |
1. Knows the structure and function of a healthy and sick human organism.
2. Has an overview of general and clinical pharmacology and knows how to write prescriptions.
3. Knows how to follow work safety regulations in case of fire alarm and how to give first aid.
4. Knows the psychological processes of a human in different stages of lifespan, the affecting factors and nature and causes of individual social behaviour.
5. Knows the content of service process, is able to counsel patients/clients and implements various communication techniques and teamwork principles.
6. Understands the policy of public health, is familiar with the legislation of social system and the basics of management and entrepreneurship.

1. Can find and use reliable evidence-based scientific sources for the professional research.
2. Can analyse and report information found from different sources.
3. Knows the foundations of statistics, can methodically collect data and analyse them properly.
4. Knows ethics in research and can follow this.
Can set professional problems, and based on the research, give recommendations for solving them. |
