Aim
To provide knowledge of the body based healthy diet, to deal with food and nutrition-related basic concepts, to explain the tasks of and needs for nutrients in the body and thereby to shape ability in the student to eat in a healthy and balanced way and to use the acquired knowledge in future professional work.
Study outcome
Upon completion of the subject, the student:
1.Has knowledge of the main nutrients of the body and of
their role in the body;
2.Is familiar with the nutrition related
terminology;
3.Has knowledge of the basics of healthy eating and is
able to implement them in their professional work.
