| To provide students with basic knowledge on the structure of inorganic compounds, their physical and chemical properties and their interconnectedness. |

Upon completion of the subject, the student:
1. Knows the basic concepts of inorganic chemistry.
2. Knows the substance classes.
3. Has basic knowledge of redox processes.
4. Is able to explain the nature of the process of hydrolysis.
5. Has basic knowledge of the most important compounds of metals and non-metals. |
