| Aim |
To provide students with basic knowledge of the nature of
mental health and psychiatric nursing care when providing
quality nursing care in a hospital and in the community. |

| Study outcome |
1.Knows a variety of mental health assessment methods,the role of a trust nurse in psychiatric nursing care,is familiar with the specific nature of the relationship between a nurse and a patient in the nursing process and is able to apply her or his knowledge in patient education.
2.Knows the most common mental and behavioral disorders and their main causes.
3.Is able to monitor the health status changes in the patient being treated in relation with the effects and adverse effects of psycho-pharmacology.
4.Has an overview of the legislation regulating the field of mental health
5.Knows the principles of the implementation of team work in psychiatric nursing care in a hospital and in the community and cooperates with representatives of other profession |
