Objective
To provide an overview about general pathoanatomical and
pathophysiological changes on different levels of organism that
are common to many or all diseases. |

Learning outcomes
Having passed the subject, the student:
1. knows the essence of pathology and can use the principles
of general pathology;
2. knows alternative changes in case of which the tissue
damage is predominant;
3. has an overview about inflammatory processes and immune
pathology;
4. knows compensatory, adaptive and regenerative processes,
the essence and evolving mechanisms of tumours;
5. possesses prior knowledge about the ethiopathogenesis of
most common diseases (atherosclerosis, cardiac ischemia,
allergic diseases). |
