| To acquire knowledge to tackle a professional research problem by learning to search, refer and analyse the literature of the profession and to write and present the research results. |

1. Compares the theories and social problems and offers solutions for
modern society.
2. Knows the principles of research in midwifery and nursing, understands the principles of ethics and reliability and applies them when writing a research paper.
3. Uses evidence-based databases and analyzes and evaluates the scientific articles used critically.
4. Describes and discusses speciality concerned issues in Estonian and one foreign language; values the use of Estonian for academic discussions.
5. Complies and formats written student papers and presents the results of research results by defending oneś standpoints.
6. Analyzes people´s customs, values and attidudes deriving from cultural differences. |
