1 To provide knowledge about aging process, the physical and mental changes accompanying aging, and the effect of these changes on the quality of life;
2 to provide an overview about the most widely spread pathological changes and the differences between these changes that are result of physiological changes of aging. |

Having passed the subject, the student:
1 knows the theories of aging;
2 has an overview about the physical and mental changes accompanying aging;
3 has knowledge about the most widely spread geriatric diseases (including dementia) and psycho-geriatric disorders, and about the problems with occupational performance related with pathological aging. |
