1. To provide students with knowledge of the correct use of the
Estonian language in speech and science related texts.
2. To teach professional terminology in English for reading English language literature for preparing reports and for oral presentations thereof. |

1. Values the Estonian language, the importance of words in the communication process and the correct use of language.
2. Knows the requirements set for scientific language, following them when these texts are used upon abstracting, quoting and referring.
