Learning outcomesLearning outcomes of the curriculum:
1. quality flexible service offer is based on principles of professional ethics and the requirements of childminding service, taking into consideration the child´s welfare in traditional and new situations, and according to the needs of the family; 2. creates safe and playful environment for the child´s growth taking into account the child; 3. plans, applies and assesses in collaboration with the parent/person responsible for activities supporting child´s physical, emotional, intellectual and social development taking into account the individuality of the child; 4. assesses their professional skills and plans their professional development through life-long learning; 5. is able to understand the role of information technology, uses computers for personal and work-related purposes, following principles of safety and confidentiality and good communication manners; 6. understands the principles of entrepreneurship and relates the requirements of professional preparation with implementation options at labour market and plans their career; 7. thinks systematically and is creative and is able to assess their ideas critically and to find independent options for carrying them out; 8. is responsible for completing various and difficult professional work tasks requiring innovative solutions in the network and independently and is able to explain their points of views both orally and in written form based on valid information. AdmissionRequirement for beginning the studies as a childminder is having secondary education. Admission requirements and rules are determined with the Rules for Student Admissions of Tallinn Health Care College and Admission Committee.
Graduation conditionsStudies are considered as completed when the learner has achieved the learning outcomes of the curriculum and received positive grade for the vocational exam.
