Aim

To develop readiness for organizing and providing help in case of major accidents, catastrophe and military conflict.

Study outcome

1. Has general knowledge of the structure of health services provided by defence forces in peace and war.
2. Knows the priorities when helping casualties and the needs for nursing care, the principles and methods of triage depending on the individual needs of the casualties.
3. Knows the methods of liquidating major accidents.
