Aim

1. To acquire knowledge about the ageing process, the physical and mental changes accompanying aging, and the effect of these changes on life-quality.
2. To acquire knowledge about the most widely spread pathological changes that are the result of ageing.

Study outcome

1. Knows the theories of aging.
2. Has an overview about the physical and mental changes accompanying aging.
3. Has knowledge about most common geriatric diseases (incl. dementia) and psycho-geriatric disorders, and about the occupational performance restrictions related with pathological ageing.
