| To provide knowledge on pharmacotherapy: different groups of medication, their effect on organism and their use in the treatment of diseases. Knowledge on pharmacokinetics of medicines, pharmacodynamics, side effects and interactions. |

| Õpiväljundid |

1. Has knowledge on the most often used over-the-counter medicine groups, the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the groups.
2. Has knowledge on the effect of the most over-the-counter medicines on organism and of factors affecting the effect of medicine.
3. Has knowledge on the indications and contraindications of the main over-the-counter medicines.
4. Has knowledge on the side effects and interactions of over-the-counter medicines, knows the main principles of acute medicinal intoxication.
5. Is capable to use the sources of information (reference books and online sources) on over-the-counter medicines. |
