| Aim |
| To gain knowledge of childhood cognitive, emotional, social and moral development and skills, by applying the forementioned knowledge into practice in child-directed family-centred preventive nursing care. |

| Study outcome |
1. Is able to determine the needs of nursing care and provide nursing care ambulatorally and at patient's home, valuing family as a uniform system.
2. Is able to assess childhood cognitive development according to J. Piaget and social development according to E. Erikson.
3. Is able to assess emotional development and formation of values during different stages of childhood according to L. Kohlberg. |
