| Student knows, is familiar with and able to construct aesthetic and functional partial and complete acrylic dentures and knows the clinical and laboratory stages of making them. |

After passing the subject, student:
1. Understands and uses professional terminology.
2. Knows and recognises the classifications of dental arch defects and acrylic dentures, indications and contraindications to prosthetic dentistry, different stages of making dentures;
3. Considers the principles of function, occlusion and aesthetics when constructing acrylic dentures;
4. Is able to choose and use materials, appliances and equipment according to the nature of work, while following guidelines and requirements for safety and environmental sustainability;
5. Is able to construct acrylic removable partial and complete dentures;
6. Describes and evaluates work process and completed work, analyses the technological reasons behind successes and failures of work. |
