Subject 'Acrylic dentures II'

Student knows, is familiar with and able to construct aesthetic and functional partial and complete acrylic dentures and knows the clinical and laboratory stages of making them.

After passing the subject, student:
1. Understands and uses professional terminology.
2. Knows and recognises the classifications of dental arch defects and acrylic dentures, indications and contraindications to prosthetic dentistry, different stages of making dentures;
3. Considers the principles of function, occlusion and aesthetics when constructing acrylic dentures;
4. Is able to choose and use materials, appliances and equipment according to the nature of work, while following guidelines and requirements for safety and environmental sustainability;
5. Is able to construct acrylic removable partial and complete dentures;
6. Describes and evaluates work process and completed work, analyses the technological reasons behind successes and failures of work.
