Curriculum: Nursing education specialisation 2021
AimSpecialized training is designed to provide an internationally recognized quality implementation of infection control in the field of higher education to work.
Conditions for completion of the curriculumThe learning theory in nurse specialist training is 45 ECTS, where 3 ECTS will be awarded from final exam and 9 ECTS from the elective modules. Practical training in work environment is 15 ECTS.
Learning outcomesStudent who has completed the curriculum:
1. Knows the responsibilities and tasks of a specialized clinical nurse in health care and is able to provide independent patient- and family-centered nursing care according to the needs of patient/client in fields of clinical nursing. 2. Is able to determine the need for research and development, analyze and evaluate the possibilities for applying research outcomes and use them for developing clinical nursing. 3. Is able to lead the process of performing nursing care in a multiprofessional team. 4. Is able to educate and supervise patients/clients, their loved ones, nursing professional and students in fields of clinical nursing. AdmissionThe admission of the general nurse will require high school certificate, certificate of vocational qualification or an equivalent qualification, certificate of higher nursing or relevant to nursing education.
Graduation conditionsTo pass all the subjects in curriculum with positive marks and successfully defend diploma work or passed final exam on main studies of nursing and specialised nursing training.
