Aim

Objective
1. To provide detailed knowledge about the essence of visual acuity;
2. to provide detailed knowledge and skills about the methods of
correcting monocular vision;
3. to provide detailed knowledge and skills about the methods of
correcting and balancing binocular vision;
4. to provide detailed knowledge about the possible special cases related with visual acuity and the possibilities for solving these cases.

Study outcome

Learning outcomes
Having passed the subject, the student:
1. knows the different monocular methods of correcting amethropies;
2. makes a difference between subjective and objective vision
examination;
3. uses skilfully any machinery in eye cabinet;
4. is able to evaluate the essence of visual acuity;
5. is able to correct and balance refraction errors in binocular
conditions;
6. understands the impact of binocular disorders on vision;
7. is able to recognize special cases related with vision and visual acuity for finding the best possible solutions.
