Subject 'Occupational Vision'Name in Estonian: Töönägemine
AimObjective
1. To provide knowledge about the visual needs related with different work tasks; 2. to provide detailed knowledge about the specifics and characteristics of ophthalmic lenses designed for middle- and close distances; 3. to guide the student to an understanding about the possible vision related problems that arise during the fulfilling of different work tasks. Having passed the subject, the student: 1. by proceeding from wishes of client in need of vision correction, is able to analyze the possibilities for performing different work tasks with the help of optical correction; 2. knows the features of different light sources and can create an ergonomic lighting plan in workplace according to needs; 3. is able to create a visual and functional general overview about client’s needs and real situations on different work positions, including different hazards to eyes and eye health and giving advice on dealing with them.
