Objective
1. To provide detailed knowledge about the materials,
structure and using specifics of contact lenses;
2. to provide detailed knowledge about the dangers and
different aspects of wearing and maintaining contact lenses
3. to provide fundamental knowledge about the fitting and
post-observation of contact lenses.

Learning outcomes
Having passed the subject, the student:
1. knows different materials and types of contact lenses
originating from their purpose;
2. is able to perform roundness and solidity calculations of
contact lenses;
3. is able to evaluate independently the problems arising from
wearing contact lenses and take adequate decisions.
