Subject 'Contact Lens Fitting'

Objective
1. To teach the student the fitting and maintenance of contact
lenses;
2. to teach the use of different instruments for fitting and
checking the fitting of contact lenses;
3. to provide the skills for teaching the handling of contact
lenses.

Learning outcomes
Having passed the subject, the student:
1. knows and recognizes different contact lenses and can
recommend and fit them according to needs;
2. is able to explain and teach the maintenance and handling of
contact lenses to the user;
3. is capable to evaluate and analyze independently the
problems arising from wearing contact lenses, and
adequately to make respective decisions.
