Subject 'Pathological labour and puerperium'Name in Estonian: Patoloogiline sünnitus ja puerpeerium
AimTo acquire the knowledge of abnormalities related to pathological delivery and puerperium, and newborn problems.
Study outcome1. Describes pathological processes and complications occurring during
childbirth and care actions according to the condition explaining teamwork principles. 2. Has the knowledge and skills of prospects of inducing labour and use of pharmacokinetics in simulation environment depending on the indications. 3. Describes how to provide care in extreme situations such as preeclampsia, bleeding, revision of the uterine cavity, manual placenta removal, multiple birth, various fetal positions, fetal position anomalies, shoulder dystocia, umbilical cord prolapse, and use of pharmacokinetics in these cases. 4. Has the knowledge of injuries to the birth canal and their revision, and demonstrates the principles for restoration of wholeness in simulation environment.
