To acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide nursing care for a sick child.

1. Knows the classification of diseases in children and the etiology,
pathogenesis, clinical picture, investigation methods and principles of treatment and prevention of most common children`s diseases.
2. Can find evidence-based nursing interventions to patients with children`s diseases according to the nursing diagnoses.
3. Applies the principles of family-centred nursing care and the teamwork principles to a child and his/her family
