To reinforce the theoretical knowledge about the sick child nursing in practical work environment.

1. Has a practical training in paediatric nursing instructed by a supervisor from the college and a mentor, integrating theory into practice.
2. Prepares a patient for investigations regarding the specificity of the investigation.
3. Performs paediatric nursing procedures and can give an evidence-based explanation of the required procedure.
4. Applies nursing theory when determining, planning, giving, and assessing the nursing care depending on a patient/client needs.
5. Carries out health education regarding paediatric nursing to a patient and his/her family.
