To acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide mental health nursing care.

1. Knows and uses legislative acts, laws of confidentiality, and principles outcomes of ethics regulating the field of mental health.
2. Describes the most common psychological and physical dependencies and psychic and behavioural disorders in patients of different age groups.
3. Understands the role of an attending in mental health nursing care.
4. Observes and evaluates the health of a patient receiving psychopharmacological treatment and applies one´s knowledge in patient education.
