Subject 'Practice - Primary Health Care'

To reinforce the theoretical knowledge of health promotion and organization of primary health care in practical work environment.

1. Practices under the supervision of college mentor and supervisor on
establishments of public health, integrating theory into practice.
2. Defines and performs midwife/nursing care to healthy patients as well as to patients with acute and chronic diseases in concordance with principles of patient safety.
3. Plans and performs post-labour care to a mother, a newborn and the whole family, appreciating their needs and individual characteristics of the family´s home.
4. Observes a child´s/adolescent’s development throughout human life span and prepares as well as conducts informative lectures on the topics of health education.
5. Has an overview of family school, gymnastics/swimming for pregnant women.
6. Teaches patients and patients´ families on the topics of family planning and spontaneous abortion.
