Subject 'Surgery, traumatology and first aid'

1 To give an overview of the main surgical illnesses and traumas, based on functional disorders and occupational performance;
2 to teach the possibilities of first aid.

After passing the subject, student:
1. Has knowledge of the etiopathogenesis and the clinical picture of most common surgical illnesses;
2. Has an overview of the most common traumas;
3. Has an overview of the principles of treatment and recovery of surgical illnesses and traumas and their effect on occupational performance;
4. Has general knowledge of the possibilities of first aid;
5. Can perform first aid procedures.
