1. Describes the historical development of midwifery in Estonia, Europe and in the world.
2. Knows the main terms of midwifery and their interconnectedness, argues on the ethical viewpoints of midwifery reasoning the statements based on social and moral value judgements.
3. Has an overview of modern developments of midwifery.
