To introduce the professional identity and different fields of work of an occupational therapist, and to give an overview about the influencing trends and factors in economy, politics and science.

1. Knows the professional identity of an occupational therapist.
2. Knows the aims of occupational therapy and specific characteristic of the work of the occupational therapist in different areas of work.
3. Has an overview of directions and factors having influence on occupational therapist´s job at local and national level, as well as at international level.
4. Knows the societal and legislative developments that have an influence on services of occupational therapy on local and global level.
