Aim

To acquire knowledge in basic medicinal groups used in midwifery, internal diseases and surgery, usage of medicines and related midwifery/nursing activities.

Study outcome

1. Knows the most used medicines in midwifery, internal diseases and surgery, their pharmacokinetics, indications, contraindications, interactions and side effects.
2. Connects pharmacotherapy to midwifery/nursing process.
3. Describes general pinciples of performing clinical drug trials.
4. Is able to use pharmacology-related handbooks, reference books and Internet souces.
