Aim

To get an overview of the essential community concepts, theories, methods and application possibilities on influencing the public health.

Study outcome

1. Knows the community concepts and the theories of community development.
2. Is able to explain the community participatory methods, to highlight their strengths and weaknesses.
3. Evaluates the social cohesion of the community and applies the participatory strategy to empower the community.
4. Maps various community movements and initiatives in Estonia.
