Aim

To create possibilities to understand the main principles regulating the work of a health nurse and to be able to implement them in a form of teamwork in promoting the health of people of all age groups.

Study outcome

1. Knows the meaning and responsibilities of independent nursing and analyses his/her willingness of working in primary health care system.
2. Can apply the theory and practice by providing evidence-based and patient/client-centred nursing care for people of all ages to promote health, enhance coping and improve the quality of life in all areas of primary health care based on the NNN taxonomy.
3. Knows the ethics of a nurse and values the holistic human approach on the provision of patient and family-centred nursing care.
4. Understands the importance of teamwork in the field of primary health and analyses his/her competences in participation.
5. Is able to use modern infotechnological tools to document his/her work and and council patients.
