Subject 'Botany I'

To acquire necessary basic knowledge on the structure and function of plants as well as the importance of plants in wildlife and in human activities; to pass the specialty subjects connected to medicinal plants (pharmacognosy, phytotherapy).

1. Knows the structure of plant cells and tissues and functions inside plants.
2. Knows the vegetative and generative organs and their tasks.
3. Has an overview of the main physiological processes inside plants (photosynthesis, transpiration, mineral nutrition).
4. Is capable to explain the characteristics of the reproduction and life cycle of plants.
