Aim

To give an overview of responsible and proper usage of medicines, including other health care professionals and clients/patients.

Study outcome

1. Knows the principles of pharmaceutical care, has an overview of pharmaceutical production and marketing.
2. Knows the factors influencing the use of medicines.
3. Has an overview of the process of manufacturing new medicines.
4. Understands the need to use one’s specialty knowledge for the good of the client/patient, and if necessary, consults other health care professionals.
