To acquire knowledge on a development of a newborn and a child and the factors affecting it, to acquire skills to implement the knowledge during the midwifery care.

1. Knows the particular features of a newborn adjustment period and is able to evaluate them.
2. Knows the anatomical-physiological characteristics of a child's development and is able to evaluate them.
3. Describes the health promotion principles to a child and his/her family.
4. Demonstrates the examination and care principles of a child in simulation environment.
