To provide the basic knowledge of the structure and function of plants and of the importance of plants in wildlife and in the lives of people necessary for the acquisition of the professional subjects (pharmacognosy, aromatherapy) related to medicinal plants. Study outcomeLearning outcomes
Upon completion of the subject, the student: 1. Has knowledge of the structure of plant cells, plant tissues and plant organs and of their function in plants; 2. Is able to explain the specific nature of plant breeding and their life cycle; 3. Has knowledge of the principles of plant classification; 4. Knows the richest in the species plant families and the most important plant species, cultivated plants and medicinal plants belonging to them; 5. Has knowledge of the most important physiological processes in plants (photosynthesis, transpiration, mineral nutrition).
