Provide the student with knowledge of the mechanisms of action, side effects and clinical use of veterinary medicines.

Upon completion of the course, the student:
1. Understands the differences between humans and animals when administering medicines and determining dosage levels.
2. Is able to provide adequate advice to animal owners within the competence of a pharmacy worker.
3. Knows the peculiarities of pet and farm animals.
4. Knows animal legislation.
