Aim

To introduce the students with professional identity in occupational therapy and different work areas, to provide them with an overview of orientations and factors having influence on their work in economics, politics and science.

Study outcome

Having passed the subject, the student:
1 knows professional identity in occupational therapy;
2 knows the objectives of occupational therapy and peculiarities of occupational therapist`s job in different work areas;
3 has an overview of orientations and factors having influence on an occupational therapist`s job at local, state and international level, and is able to take them into consideration;
4 is able to take into consideration developments in social work, education and health care, in society and legislation at international, state and local level having influence on occupational therapy services.
