Subject 'Food Supplements and Food'

To provide an overview of the food supplements and food
additives used in the Republic of Estonia.

Upon completion of the subject, the student:
1.Has an overview of the legislation on food supplements,
of applications of food supplements marketable in
Estonia;
2.Can advise on the use of food supplements and is able to
critically analyze the information regarding food supplements;
3.Has an overview of the food additives or e-substances
used in Estonia, of their classification, reasons for use
and potential hazards;
4.Is able to consciously direct their choices and also
provide advice to prospective customers
